2010 Spring Conference

We’ve made it through a snowy winter and spring is knocking at our door. It’s time for PACAH’s 2010 Spring Conference! This year we will be returning to beautiful Centre County and the Nittany Lion Inn. We have an exciting and diverse conference planned and look forward to seeing many familiar faces and hopefully some new ones. Please take a few minutes to review the agenda and registration.
As always, PACAH members receive reduced rates to attend the conference, and for people unable to attend the entire conference, attending single days is always an option. This year application has been submitted to the PA NHA Licensure Board for a maximum of 17 continuing education credit hours.
The schedule is as follows:
Monday: 3 CEUs
Tuesday: 4 CEUs
Wednesday: 6.5 CEUs
Thursday: 3.5 CEUs
Some of the topics scheduled for the conference include: Your Facility, Your Wounds .. Your Role; Medicaid Eligibility & Transfer Penalties; Home & Community Based Services – An Expansion of the Continuum; An Integrated Approach to Managing Resident Behavior & Caregiver Stress in a Dementia–Care Setting; MDS 3.0; and, Grass Roots Advocacy.
The Nittany Lion Inn is located in the heart of Pennsylvania, and is one of the state’s premier leisure, meeting and conference facilities. The colonial-style guest rooms are appointed with such amenities as computer hook-ups, coffeemakers, hair dryers, irons and ironing boards. After a full day of workshops, conference attendees can hop down to the fitness center to work out or take a soak in the Jacuzzi. Inn guests also have access to the Penn Stater facilities, which include a lap swimming pool.
This year’s golf outing will be held at Penn State’s White Course on Tuesday afternoon. The nearly 40 bunkers on the par 36, 3,245 yard front nine will challenge the player’s course accuracy and patience, while the par 36, 3,099 yard back nine will force the player to play intelligently to keep their score low.

Room rates are $118/night single, $128/night double, $138/night triple and $148/night quadruple, plus applicable sales and occupancy tax. THE CUT OFF DATE FOR OVERNIGHT ACCOMODATIONS IS APRIL 2.
